Directions are inadequate for a first time vacuum sealer. Took about 45 minutes to figure out that the sealer has a removable part. Took me, it wasn’t obvious. But I do love the sealer itself!

I was hesitant to purchase this, plus the Ball jars (which I did not own), but I was furious throwing away food way too fast. With everything costing so much nowadays, I gave it a try and I AM THRILLED.
My pantry is now "protected", it's neat as a pin, and I love the popping sound when I open one of the jars.

Easy to use. A great use of my abundance of jars and lids. It requires more space to store. For example, a 10 oz. bag of marshmallows took more than 2-24 oz. jars. Quick to recharge the battery.

I am loving how simple it works. I don't use flours, cornmeal, bread crumbs, pastas, etc as fast as I used to. Now, I have fresher product and much less waste. Google was good about explaining which ones, even tho they are sealed, still need to be refrigerated.
I really like it for strawberries in the fridge. Huge difference in the way they are lasting longer! Resealing is a snap!

I had purchased this unit earliet in summer and was excited to use it for my late summer harvest. So, I grabbed my wide mouth canning jars as I was sent extra wide mouth lids along with normal lids. I was a taking back when clearly, this machine does not fit over wide mouth lids. It's not wide enough. I looked at some YouTube videos, and they were trying to say it works on wide mouth lids and jars, even though they clearly were using the normal lids also. So, yes, it works amazingly on your standard lid and canning jars. But unfortunately, they are not going to work for the wide mouth jar.

Customer service was great - when my first one was defective (although my first contact offered a solution to a problem I did not have) I was offered a new one for free! The first one did not seal 9/10 times, this new one works great. I can open the jars just using my fingers so it is not as fully sealed as properly canning things, but it definitely has a good seal as the button goes down in the lid. THANKS, Mason Genie!

Did everything it said it would do. I’ve used with my big jar to smaller ones! If you have problems with ants or Weibel this is for you. The seal is vacuum tight. Love mine ❤️

Device is easy to attach and use. Charges quickly. A few lids came off when device was removed from jar and it was a little difficult to get the lid out of the device. When everything worked correctly, the seal was fantastic.

Not gonna lie I was skeptical. My order came and as soon as I had a full charge I used it on 7 quart jars of celery, broccoli, carrots, grapes, raspberries, strawberries and granola. 6 days later and the veggies and fruit look/taste like I just bought them.

I love it went through my cupboards and put a lot of stuff in the jars. It also takes less space in the cupboard I wish, though they would send a pamphlet with that letting you know what you can all put in there whether it is stuff that needs to be refrigerated

Exactly how it was advertised. One thing I noticed, I put salad in a jar, vacuumed it in and it still looks fresh. No browning of any kind. That was about 8 days ago with a salad pack that was already about 5 days old.

My new masongenie works great. It uses about 4% of battery per jar so far. I could use some tips on getting the unit off the jar when done. I have to pull pretty hard and I question how long the inner rubber will last getting draged past the lid edges so hard.

I just love it. I’ve moved so much into jars half gallon and quart jars. I even put things like stove top stuffing, grains, and cereals and more. I’m single and hate throwing food away because it goes stale. Not anymore. I even seal some produce and sauces and when I use some I just reseal again.

Worked great for about 4 weeks, now it’s dead. Fully charged, just dead. I have notified Mason Genie of this situation waiting to hear back from them on resolution.

Unfortunately the company is price gouging as the Mason Genie has gained popularity. It debuted on Amazon at $45 CAD and now they're charging $70 CAD for the same product less than a year later. plus, if you buy it from their site they'll rip you off by charging you shipping.

It seems to work well - the lids do seem sealed tightly evidenced by the pop sound when I remove the lid. I at first felt unsure whether I had the lid positioned correctly (straight on) but, evidently, if slightly askew, the Genie will position it properly.

Works great and quick. Did try on one jar that had a larger lower lip and the threads were too short to go into the sealer, so not every jar will be made to work on this sealer. But that Ball jar we have is very old. It’s the odd “Ball”, all the rest of our jars sealed fine!

Love the concept of using glass storage. The directions were quite clear and the instructions from the company before receipt of the product was a great idea. The only difficulty I had was getting it off the jar after the sealing process.

This device is beautifully made and packaged. It came with special lids that you can write on, a charger, and lid opener for when you need to pry off a sealed lid. It is simple to use as well. I saw ads for similar devices, but believe they were of lesser quality when I made comparisons. I keep this handy in the kitchen as it is compact and doesn't take a lot of space.
