I purchased 3 Mason Genies - one for myself and two as gifts. I'm very pleased with mine. I've used it to keep breading and oyster crackers fresh so far. Will be trying it for fruit like grapes or cherries or cherry tomatoes next. I appreciate the tips that have come by email, particularly the suggestion to place another lid on top of the sealed lid so as not to damage the sealed lid when opening the jar.

I am so sick of throwing away fruit and spinach so this baby is well worth the price. It been a week since I put cantaloupe, blueberries and spinach in a jar and no spoilage yet. The grapes were also doing fine until someone forgot to reseal them and I didn’t notice. In a jar without sealing out the air is no good. Very happy with this purchase.

I was very excited when I started using the Mason Genie, but after only a few seals, ether the lid would stick inside the sealer, or it would not seal at all. I watched the trouble shooting video and after making sure the gasket was properly seated, the Mason. Genie seems to be working. I am disappointed that the gasket seems to continue to slip out and cause sealing issues.

Wow! This little gizmo is GREAT! I make mason jar salads and by sealing them, they stay fresh and I can use them much longer. I also cut fruit and store it in mason jars. Stored in the refrigerator it stays fresh so much longer. Great addition to my food prep gear.

I was skeptical at first but not any more. The fresh berries and vegetables are still fresh after one week. It's a bit more time consuming to chop the vegetables into pieces that fit in the jar but well worth it in the end.

This is my second and I use it all the time. Please make sure people know if the underside gets wet the unit will quit working. I was careful, but not careful enough as it was my first and although I dried it out and it worked a few times after—it quit and would not start again.
