This device is beautifully made and packaged. It came with special lids that you can write on, a charger, and lid opener for when you need to pry off a sealed lid. It is simple to use as well. I saw ads for similar devices, but believe they were of lesser quality when I made comparisons. I keep this handy in the kitchen as it is compact and doesn't take a lot of space.

I couldn't find any information about what seal percentage to expect. Both jars I tried sealed at 74% (one of them I did twice and the second time sealed at 75%). Is that normal, or should it reach 100%?

Love the mason genie! Sealing all my staples in mason jars with it. Don't know how I have done without it. Easy to use. Also keeping my fruits and vegetables longer in refrigerator. Made guacamole which always is dark and gross the next day but I sealed it in a glass jar and 2 days later is as fresh as the day I made it!

TBH it makes me nervous. I am always wondering if the jar is going to explode from the pressure, and when it doesn't, I am so relieved. Like, every time, not just the first time LOL i have been able to save lots of dry goods, and even some fresh veggies in the fridge. Living alone, this has been a lifesaver...and a MONEY saver!! Arrived on time, and great packaging. Very easy to use, and far superior than the prior one, I had from another company. The flat will stick in the wide mouth unit on occasion. This occurs only, if the flat isn’t placed correctly on the mason jar. I do lots of canning, and make my own dry mixes. I believe this is common. I always wipe the jar rim, and flat before sealing but placement of the flat is important.

I've only used it a couple times. Seems to work great. But there were a couple of times when I had to try sealing my product 3-4 times before it sealed. It's quiet and it's a good seal.

I struggled with the first jar I tried. I do believe it’s the jar for some reason. The mason genie went on easily but it took extreme effort to get it off and then it would unseal as I finally got the mason genie off the jar. I was ready to return but I tried it on a few other jars and different sizes and it works great! So far I’m happy with how it’s working.

Love it, already changing out my pantry and fridge..I bought one and thought I had received it before I did and then couldn't locate it, so I waited for a few days and ordered another one.. the first one came the next day... Now, I have two.. using one and a spare...not sad at all.. I am amazed at the difference the Mason Genie has made when it comes to keeping food fresh. I have used it for grapes, onions, peppers, etc. They all lasted much longer by using the Genie. Highly recommend!

Like so far, easy to use. A little hard removing after you seal it. Waiting now to see how much longer the food lasts. I used it on strawberries, blueberries, spinach, carrots, and Brussel sprouts.
My only complaint is that I wish it would last longer as I had to recharge halfway through the process after the initial charge after opening the box.

So, this is my second unit as the first one inexplicably died on me. Now, you all replaced it no charge (excellent customer service!), and the new one is working perfectly. I have every expectation this will save me a lot in fruits and veggies going bad!

Excited to get this and started sealing all my jars. I did find it difficult a few times getting into a hurry and got the lid stuck in the Genie. It's also a pain to remove the smaller large mouth jars as it sucks it down pretty hard. For normal sized jars it works well. I tried to seal some Yeast and the lid came off while vacuuming. I had to remove the rubber seals to wipe all the yeast particles out of the unit......I won't do that again!!!
Over all I still give it a 4 out of 5!

The rubber ring comes off when I try to remove it from the jar every time which is annoying as it slows me down when I’m trying to do multiple jars. Sometimes it’s SUPER difficult to get the mason genie off the jar Other than that I like it.
